Wouldnt it be nice if you could actually
No, were not talking about making moneydriving for Uberor becoming a Taxi driver.
And no, this isnt aboutgetting paid to deliver grocerieseither!
You dont have to do any of that.
Join InboxDollars for free. InboxDollars pays you to watch videos, search, shop, take surveys, and more. They have paid out$57 Millionso far!
In fact, you dont have to change anything about what you normally do or how and where you drive to and from.
Have you ever seen those cars and trucks with Monster or Red Bull energy drink logos all over em?
Thats your vehicle (pun intended) to making money while driving your car!
Car Wrapping (as it is known in the advertising world) is one of the most unusual and interestingways you can make money with your car.
Heres all you need to know to get started, including a list of car wrapping companies that willpay you to put ads on your car
Wrap advertisingor a vehicle wrap actually started way back in the 1920s with putting vinyl decals on taxis.
But Pepsi Co was the very first company that used car wrapping in a commercial setting. It allowed them to essentially create a moving billboard and advertise their product to millions of people 24/7.
So why would companies pay people for simply driving around with a product logo on their cars?
Because it allows them to advertise their product 24/7 to hundreds of thousands of people in a way that is simply hard to ignore.
Usually, companies go throughcar wrapping companiesto find willing drivers.
It would be hard and time consuming for individual companies to go out and find drivers and convince them to put their ads on their car.
Thats where advertising companies that specialize in car wrapping come into play.
As a driver, you sign up with these ad agencies.
You are usually required to give some detail about your car and commute.
These are necessary information that advertisers have to consider in order to find a driver that can actually get those ads in front of as many eyeballs as possible.
Once you are accepted, you will be entered into their database. Then, when there is an ad that matches your profile, you will be contacted.
Theyll tell you how much it pays, what you need to do and so on.
Usually, you dont have to change anything as far as your daily commute and driving habits go. The only thing changing is your vehicle since they have to actually put the ad on it.
To get the ad on the car, a technique called auto wrap is used.
The material is typically vinyl decal and it is effective in creating the impression that some sort of paintwork is directly applied to the car.
Depending on the ad, the vinyl may cover part of all of your car.
There are various factors that determine exactly how much you get paid for each assignment.
That said, generally, you can expect to earn between $200 to $1000 a month for each car wrap.
And thats not bad really. Especially considering the fact that you dont have to change anything or do anything unusual (besides the giant ad on your car, lol.)
Once they put the ad on your car, thats it.
All you do is drive as you would normally.
Now, there are cases where you dont have to use your own car.
Sometimes, companies will actually give you an already wrapped car for free.
It is known as the Free Car promotion.
Basically, the company will purchase a car, warp it with their own ad, give it you for free under certain conditions (such as you must drive X number of hours a day.)
Unfortunately, Free Car advertising is becoming obsolete as companies have realized using peoples own cars and paying them a few hundred dollars a month is a much more economical way of advertising.
As I mentioned earlier, companies look for specific kind of cars and people with commutes on busy routes.
So your geographical location plays a huge part in whether or not you can get one of those funside hustles.
For example, if Apple were to pay a driver to drive a wrapped with an ad for a new iPhone, theyd probably want someone who commutes near a college sincecollege studentsare a big segment of Apple product users.
There are also a few other criteria that usually companies look for.
Obviously, you have to be 18 years or older.
You must have a clean driving record.
You have to agree to keep the ad on your car for the entire duration of the contract.
There may be a minimum millage you have to drive each week/month.
You have to either have a GPS or agree to install one provided by the company so they can keep track of your commutes.
These are some of the usual requirements.
Depending on the company, there may also be other requirements as well.
You will always be notified of any and all requirements before you are given the assignment.
Unfortunately, like any other industry, this one is also full of scammers who cant wait to scam you out of your time and hard-earned money.
One of the most often used scams is the Western Union Check scam which is also used (in the exact same way) in mystery shopping industry scamming people who are inserted in findinglegitimate mystery shopping jobs.
You may see an ad or be contacted by someone, claiming to be a legitimate car wrapping company, claiming youll make a couple of hundred bucks (lets say $500) by agreeing to shrink wrap your car with an ad.
They then send you a check which is for more than the original offer (lets say $800.)
They then ask you to deposit the check, keep $500 for yourself and wire that extra $300 to a company that will wrap your car.
A few days or so after you wire the money, the check bounces.
Unfortunately, the $300 you wired, came out of your own balance and not the bounced check.
Youre our $300, just like that!
The scammers try to fool people by using famous products in the name of their supposed ad campaign.
They do this using especially brands you may have already seen their logos on wrapped cars you know, Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar energy drink
There is one known as the Red Bull Job Offer where scammers send you a $1500 check. They then ask you to deposit and wire $500 to a decal wrapping company so they can come to your house and wrap your car with Red Bull decals.
Some of the current scam ad campaigns include:
There is an easy way to protect yourself from any scam that has to do with depositing checks and wiring cash.
Ill let The Federal Trade Commission explain:
If you get a message urging you to deposit a check and wire money back, its a scam. Every time. No matter the story. And if this were a legitimate car wrap opportunity, wouldnt the company directly pay the car-wrapping vendor, instead of asking you to do it?

Lets get to the part youve been waiting for
Legitimate auto-wrapping companies that actually pay you to drive your car around.
Here are some of the most trusted companies in the industry:
What I like about Wrapify is their honesty. They dont claim everyone can make X amount every month. They say you can make up top $500 a month with them, but very few people will. Nonetheless, you can easily make an extra few hundred with them, especially since they are becoming more popular with advertisers and have many clients that are ready and willing to pay to put their ads on your car.
This is one of the most well-known car wrapping companies.
Most of their advertisement opportunities are for rear window advertisements. Theyll send you the ad along with instruction on how to apply it.
CarWraps is a Canadian based company. They dont really advertise their opportunities, but you can find out about available opportunities by contacting them.
This is another Canadian based company.
This one is different than the Canadian based AdsToGo. This one operates in the U.S.
With this company, you canget free gasby placing small ads on your car.
This one operates out of my hometown, St Louis, MO. So if you live nearby, give them a try.
The easiest way to find more companies that will pay you for driving a wrapped car is to contact major car wrapping companies in your local area.
Since they are in the industry, they may know interested advertisers. Some may even be actively looking for willing drivers.
You can also keep an eye on Craigslist and local newspapers. But please be cautious. Scammers can also out ads on Craigslist and local newspapers!
This is aneasy way to make some extra cash.
Obviously, you cant expect to get rich doing it, but just like the get paid to rent your car idea we covered before, you can make an extra $300 to $1000 a month.
Do you have a wrapped car, or know anyone who has?
Would you put ads on your car driving it around in exchange for money?
If you like getting paid for surveys, and are going to join only one site, I would recommend you choose Ipsos-iSay. Ipsos is the most fun and well-paying panel. Give it a try to see how you like it. It is free anyway!
So do many other people Deborah. Its a great way to make your car payment. All you have to do is get in touch with some of the companies listed here to find out if they have any car wrapping deals in your local area. Good luck.
One company said that they have 1000\s cars available for wrapping. Is that true? I\ve tried contacting all the advertising names you have listed. Only one really took in my information to possible wrap my car. One wanted me to pay to be put higher on their list and another asked for my social security number. So I didn\t joint either of them.
Lynn, I dont know which company told you they have 1000s of cars. Either way its not too far fetched. It is an easy way to make money so a lot of people sign up.
Which one asked for you to pay them to put you higher up on the list? Thats not right. Please let me know the name so I can take them off the list.
Also, dont give out your SSN over the phone. If you go in to their office and they look legit, thats fine since they may have to report the earning and send you 1099. But never give out your SSN over the phone to someone you dont know.
I have a 2014 ford cmax its a hybrid i drive all over myrtle beach south carolinia and all the way to charleston alot . my car is on the move more hours than parked.lol i would be very interested in doing this program.
How do you get companies to let used there company logos an get paid
I am sorry, Valerie, I dont quite understand your question. Would you mind explaining what you mean?
She means How do you get companies to let you use their logos and to get paid for it.
You dont directly work with the advertisers (companies). You sign up with one of the Car Wrapping companies and they will pay you to have your car wrapped with ads from their advertisers. Thats how you get paid.
Also try , they have some genuine get paid to drive programs that can pay upto $600 a month.
Thanks for the suggestion. Are you part of the company or are you a driver who has used their car wrapping service for extra cash?
Jaunita, you can apply for any of the companies mentioned here. Just go to their website and you will be able to apply. Good luck.
Can the wrap be removed at some point if I dont want to do it anymore?
Of course! I think they use vinyl with some kind of adhesive on it. But yes, the wrap can be removed.
Are you considering getting your car wrapped, Caroline?
I just signed up at Free Car Media, and it was a scamafter I gave them my info., it just re-directed me to a site called Earning Station, which had absolutely NOTHING to do with ad wrapping your vehicle. Beware, I think most of these are SCAMS, just to get your personal info.!!! You should probably update your list, too, and review these sites.
Actually, Free Car Media is a trusted company. They themselves always warn people about some of the free car scam sites. They were even featured onNBC News site(towards the bottom of the post).
As for redirecting to another site, I havent seen or heard of that happening. It could be that you didnt qualify to participate in their programs (they have a few location in the U.S. that they accept drivers from), so their system automatically redirected you to that site which is actually a legitimate survey and rewards site.
Many of these companies listed dont exist anymore, or they ask you to pay to sign up. Sketchy.
KB, yeah, thats the bad part. Companies come and go. But no, I wouldnt pay for membership. Legit car wrapping sites are all free to join.
Try FreeCarMedia company). They are legit, free, and are still in operation.
Do the wraps suit every car model? Or do they customize every wraps for each car?
It depends on the advertiser. But from what I have seen, they mainly customize it to ensure it looks good on each car.
Do the wraps have to be professionally removed, and when they are is your paint ruined?
It depends on the company you go for. Some do remove it professionally and some let you do it. And as far as I know, your cars paint will not be affected by the wraps.
Im signed up with a company now but there is no base pay monthly so I have to wait for a commision type pay. I need something monthly with a base pay is there any company like that ?
Kim, most car ad companies pay you weekly or monthly. I have never heard of any that have commission based pay. I mean, what would they even base the commission?
Whats the name of the company youre using (if you dont mind me asking)?
my name is jeffrey in live in Orlando fla a high tourist area I drive a 2000 chevy surburban this would be great for me Im on disability and Im always out driving there are always big games here theme parks people are every where. I would love to get my car wraped.
Have you tried getting in touch with one of the companies mentioned here, Jeffrey?
Well, Rose, youll have to contact one of the companies mentioned on the list and take it from there.
I am really debating whether to continue on with this process or not because I really do not want to be scammed but they already sent me a $2,900 check I am just very weary of having to deposit it in my bank first. What should I do have you ever heard of vehicle advert or the Rheingold logo?
Courtney, there are legitimate Car Wrapping companies out there. But, I dont know what company you are working with. Also, if they send you a check and ask you to deposit and send some of it back to them, that means its 100% scam. Their check will bounce a few days later, but the money you sent to them will come out of your account. So you lose money. Be very careful.
Dont cash it or deposit it in your bank account it is a scam!!!!!!
I want to wrap my car but I went to the site and told me to do UBER. I dont want that kind of a money maker I want a wrap. I dive 27000 miles a year and drive a 2016 car.
Wendi, what site did you go to that told you to do UBER?
I had this happen as well through myfreecar. I think the car wrap just wasnt available for us so they were taking us to Uber instead.
I see. That makes sense. Thanks for clarification, Kayla.
Did the same to me. All that was available was uber.
I think that this is very interesting. I recently heard of a friend that has decided to do this and they said as soon as the check cleared the bank that they were to call the people to come down and wrap the car then they were to pay them with the money that the company sent. Now after reading all of this it makes more sense to me at first I questioned it but now I understand it better. This friend will be getting a nice sum of 350 weekly for the advertising and I thought that sounded rather nice but I am not interested in that much each week.
I would like to know what company you think is the best for work for?
Lauren, as long as you go with a legit company, it really doesnt matter. That said, I would try to sign up with a few. Remember, they dont have assignments all the time. So by signing up with a few, you increase your chances of getting an advertiser.
If they send you a cashier check and then tell you to pay out of the check it is a scam! Do not cash or deposit the check! Take it to your police office in the town you live in. Someone sent me a cashier check just like that and I took it to the bank it was drawn from and they told me it was no good!!
Upstage ny looking to advertise with
My 2011 Dodge Charger any recommendations.
Dustin, have you contacted any of the companies mentioned in the post?
Would love to make money driving am always on the road
instead of having my vehicle wrapped. I would like to have my 7ft x 16ft enclosed trailer wrapped. will any of the companies that is listed at the top pay me for that. I rent my trailer out daily.
Hmmm Thats good question, Josh. I would think if the trailer gets enough daily movement in a high traffic area (where more people can see the ad), they may accept it, but I am not sure really. Youll have to ask them.
I live in Katy, Texas ( a suburb of Houston). I would like to have my car wrapped and advertise for local companies. How do I find these companies in Houston?
Maria, please see my answer to Mileydi above.
I live in Indianapolis Indiana its any of those companies working at this area ? Can you direct me to if so , thanks
I dont know of any specific company that does that in Indianapolis. But I know many companies put ads on Craigslist. So keep an eye on your local CL, You can also do a Google search for Wrap your car in ad in Indianapolis or some variation of this term.
BEWARE! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! If someone tells you they are sending you a check for you to deposit in your account, tell them to shove it up their assets! I dont care how authentic it looks, IT IS A SCAM! Got an email stating a $3000 check would be sent to me. I was to deposit it in my account, pull out cash of $2700 and send Western Union to the graphic artist. In response, I referred to them as douche bags and warned them that they were risking their ETERNAL SOUL in trying to defraud their brothers and sisters (in the spirit). I admonished them to get a REAL job, and turn from their WICKED WAYS. Needless to say, I did not get any further correspondence from them!
That is indeed a very well known scam, Lindajay. I am glad you didnt fall for it.
i have a minivan would love to drive with ads i am out alot got 3 kids so i am a busy person will help with my bills
Hey are accepting drivers in the LA area now!!
Someone in these comments stated that a friend of theirs had a company send them money &when they received it, they were to call the wrap company so they could come and wrap their car & they were to use the money sent to them to pay for the wrapping job. I got the impression that the person leaving the comment thought that that was how it worked! I hope someone lets him/her know that that is NOT how it works. EVER!!!!
Ive talked to a company that sends a 1 X 3 decal to put on your back window. They require a $19.99 payment up front. Then you upload a picture of your vehicle with the decal on it and they reimburse thev$19.99. It is . Is this a legitimate business? They say they are number1. I didnt see them in your list.
Sandra, Ill be honest. While some companies may do this (request a small up front payment) to avoid having people getting the free decals and never actually putting it on, I have never heard of this company.
They got my 20.00 plus tax they give it back to you but only on your account page you cant cash it out til you make your first commission they give you a 50.00 sign up bonus but I just my decal but I dont feel right about this company so I cancelled my card I used with them I truely would love to do this cause I drive on the road alot all day going to paients homes taking care of them
Yeah, thats the thing with these kind of side gigs. You have to find legitimate ones. Unfortunately, there are so many scams that make it hard. You did the right thing. If you dont feel comfortable with a company, then dont do it.
I had a check sent to me after correspondence over email, and I was told to cash the check because a portion is for the person installing the wrap on my car. I was told to contact this person when check was in my account to set up installation. I told them the funds wouldnt be available until after Tuesday because of the Holiday. As I had read all of this it seems that I have been had by scammers.Should I call the bank on Tuesday and tell them to pull the check, and take the money back out of my account?
That sound a like the famous mystery shopping check scam. But without more details, I couldnt say for sure. But anytime someone sends you a check and says to cash it and give part of it back to them or someone else, that usually means the check is going to bounce a few days later, but by that time you are out the money because the money you sent them or paid the person they asked you to, comes out of your own account.
If you want to out smart the scammers do not deposit the check go to check cashing place and cash the check because the check has funds when they issue it to you but the next day they stop payment on it so I did that I yook the check and cashed it right away so they are the stupid ones not me.
I submitted an application with a company called get paid to drive but in order to register they ask for a $20 fee, and they promise to return once the decal has been placed in the vehicle. Im wondering if this is a scam or if its a trust worthy company. Please advise.
Normally Id stay away from companies that ask for a registration fee. Though there are sometime legitimate reasons for that, but in this case, I would stay away.
i want to drive from north africa in a 44 so was wondering where i could get companys to pay me for their sticker on my 44 i will also be doing a blog
I dont know of any. You may have a chance if you contact companies directly. Find companies that are known to go beyond traditional advertising methods and get in touch.
Do you know if any above would work in the state of Ga? Most everything was either so far away it wasnt worth looking at or just told me to sign up for uber but im 20 so i cant.
Chris, it depends on the company. Youll have to contact each one and ask.
Payurdrive & Adzondrive is chetfround company. Company fraud 14 Lacks me & my customers.
If anyone gets a cashiers check and they ask you to deposit it and send them an amout from the check do not deposit the check you can go to check cashing and cash the check,I received a check for $500 from a mystery shopping scams asking me to deposit the check and then send them a western union check for $200 but I know it was a scam so I was smarter than them I went and cashed the check I pull the scam on them I do not send them anything I kept the money.
I have a race car that I was wondering if anyone would take that on for advertising to be seen at the local drag track every weekend
